Located on seven wooded acres in rural Stanwood, Washington, yet just minutes from I-5, Lazy Aces Dog Resort is committed to providing a safe and fun environment for your dog. Not an overcrowded kennel facility, we offer instead a compassionate and individual approach, tailored to the needs of each pup. With only around a dozen suites, we are able to offer the perfect mix of one-on-one attention, serenity, and love.
We don't utilize impersonal concrete kennel runs; but instead have soft grass and room to roam in an idyllic fenced environment. We offer individual or small group playtime for pups not ready or comfortable with large play groups. We are run by folks with decades of dog shelter volunteer service. As volunteers, we approach all dogs with love, acceptance, and open arms.

Lazy Acres Dog Resort offers three boarding options; an option for every budget and number of dogs. We have discounts available for NOAH Center, Save-a-Mutt, and CASA volunteers and adopters (or verified current volunteers at any local animal organization, as well as for federally enrolled Native Americans, and active duty US Military personnel, veterans, and their immediate family.
Our Basic Suite is a comfortable, quiet home for our guest doggos. Suitable for one large dog or a pair of medium or small dogs.
Our Deluxe Suite is a spacious private kennel with a window overlooking the woods or our large play yard. Suitable for one or two large dogs. All Deluxe suites come with a live 24/7 video camera to watch your dogs remotely, and a 15-20 minute nature walk around the woods and paths of our 7 acre property.
Our Presidential Suite is a very large room that allows up to 4 dogs to spread out, or one dog that really like to have some space! The size of two of our Deluxe Suites put together, the Presidential Suite is a roomy option that can offer real cost savings for multiple dogs because of the flat rate pricing.

Lazy Acres Dog Resort is owned and operated by Richard Huffman, who has 25 years in animal care. Richard was the NOAH Shelter's top volunteer for 2021 and the top foster parent for 2022. Richard had volunteered more than 5,000 hours for NOAH since 2018, and has fostered almost 200 cats, dogs, puppies and kittens since March of 2020.
Assisting Richard is Grampa Chuck, who is a true dog whisperer. Harvey, the happiest boy ever, is the Lazy Acres Ambassador and friend to all doggies. Our goat, Mike, and donkeys, Lucy and Ethel, love to have dogs visit them safely through their fence while they are on dog walks.

Our driveway is at the end of a long gravel road (317th). Drive slow! Lots of wildlife and potholes! Our driveway is at the very end of the road on the left (look for the sign). Our kennel is at the very end of the long driveway at the very top.
